30 finalists will showcase their talents in vocals and dance this July 2, 2022, 3PM, at The Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu for their chance to compete in this year’s K-Pop World Festival in Changwon.

Out of almost 200 audition videos sent, the Korean Consulate in Cebu and Cebu Korean Association has narrowed the applicants to 30, comprising of 1 vocal soloist and 29 dance group performers. This will be an exciting comeback event, after 2 years of holding it virtually.
The K-Pop World Festival started in 2017 to introduce the Korean pop culture to the world. It’s a global competition where the winning team of each participating country is flown to South Korea to compete in the final selection which will be covered by Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) and televised worldwide through KBS World.
With the K-pop culture warmly welcomed in the southside, many fanatics are looking forward to seeing one of our local K-pop performers to represent the Philippines for this year’s K-Pop World Festival.

It’s for sure going to be a lot of fun and energy as approximately 300 participants are set to perform their numbers. The Korean Consulate in Cebu and the Cebu Korean Association are optimistic that this event will introduce the Korean Culture to more locals, and will be supported by the growing Korean pop culture in Cebu and the Visayas.
