Summer is just around the corner and I just dreamt of Bohol’s sunny, tranquil shores. The most recent retreat I had in Panglao was during the last quarter of 2022. It was an amazing 3 day 2 night stay in November at Bluewater Panglao Bohol, and I still remember the high from all the wonderful experiences I had there! It was my second time at the resort, and I have to say, it just keeps getting better every time.

The thing that really struck me about the resort was just how soothing and peaceful the vibe is at the property. From the moment I arrived, I felt all my worries melt away. The resort is nestled in a quiet corner of Panglao Island, surrounded by lush greenery and the crystal clear waters of the ocean. It truly is a paradise.

During my stay, I had the chance to stay in two different rooms. The first night, I stayed in a deluxe room that was decked out in a stylish contemporary design. The room was modern, sleek, and oh so cozy. I loved the ambiance of the room, which was perfect for a relaxing evening after a long day of travel.

On the second and third day, I moved to a premier deluxe room that was all about space and comfort. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The room was elegantly appointed, and the free-standing bath tub was an absolute dream. I love soaking in the tub – truly a great way to unwind and recharge.

But I have to say, one of the biggest aces of the resort is the food! Aplaya, the resort’s main restaurant, had some of the best-tasting food I’ve ever had in Bohol. I’m a huge fan of the house-specialty adobo rice. It was such an honor to have Chef Zemri and Chef Rex prepare the new-on-the-menu dishes and had first dibs on the resort’s new offerings. I am a fan of ube, and Bohol’s kinampay is one of the sweetest I had. I’ve been raving about it since my first visit at the resort, and am so happy that they incorporated it in their dishes. Sinigang sa Baboy sa Ube and the Ube Kinampay Surprise are personal faves.

This time, my stay at Bluewater Panglao Bohol was a relaxing gastronomic treat. Three days were all spent at the resort, enjoying the calm and quiet, then delight in the resort’s great tasting fare. The place relaxed me in a way that I haven’t felt in a long time, and leaving the resort feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to take on the world again. I can’t wait to go back and experience it all over again!
