Paws of Love: A Two-Day Celebration for a Cause This International Dog Day

Cebu City, Philippines – August 2025 — In celebration of International Dog Day, the Cebu Creators Circle, in partnership with Cebu Business Park and APMC, proudly presents Paws of Love, a two-day social responsibility event dedicated to raising awareness and support for animal welfare. Happening on August 22–23, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Central Park, Cebu Business Park, the event aims to benefit Happy Tails Philippines, a non-profit organization committed to rescuing, caring for, and rehabilitating stray animals in the city.

The festivities will kick off with an opening ceremony and ribbon cutting on August 22 at 2:00 PM, led by distinguished guests and community leaders. Over the course of the weekend, attendees can look forward to a variety of activities, including:

• Pet food donation drop-off to help achieve the goal of raising 700 kilos of dog food for Happy Tails Philippines
• Anti-rabies vaccination (Saturday, 2PM-5PM) to promote responsible pet ownership
• Influencer’s bazaar featuring curated finds and local products
• Live music from Baihaus and other performances for a lively atmosphere

“Paws of Love is more than just an event — it’s a movement to show that compassion extends beyond people and into the lives of animals who depend on us,” said Andrew Doyzkie Buenaviaje (yours truly), founding president of Cebu Creators Circle. “We believe that through the collective effort of creators, businesses, and the community, we can make a real difference for Cebu’s stray animals while inspiring more responsible and compassionate care.”

Hazel Aguisanda, founding president of Happy Tails Philippines, shared her gratitude for the initiative: “Every day, we see the struggles of stray and abandoned dogs — from hunger to neglect. Events like Paws of Love give hope, not just to the animals we care for, but to all of us who fight for their welfare. With the community’s help, we can provide food, medical care, and a second chance for these dogs to live the lives they deserve.”

All proceeds and donations will go directly to Happy Tails Philippines to fund food, shelter, and medical care for rescued dogs.

Paws of Love invites pet lovers, advocates, and the general public to participate, donate, and enjoy a weekend of meaningful fun — all for the love of dogs.
