Manila Marriott Hotel: A Multisensory and Wonderful Start to 2026

I recently spent an overnight stay in Manila that reminded me why sometimes, a short trip can feel like a complete reset. My destination? Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts, and what was supposed to be a simple media lunch turned into a full sensory experience that I won’t forget anytime soon.

The occasion was the “See You, Wonderful: The Philippine Media New Year Lunch Get-together”, organized in partnership with Cebu Pacific Air. Media friends from Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao gathered at the hotel’s Garden Room, celebrating the start of 2026 with laughter, good conversation, and reflections on the year ahead.

We were joined by Bruce Winton, Marriott International Philippines Area General Manager, and Charles Lim, President of SELRAHCO, Cebu Pacific’s PR arm. Manila Marriott’s team was also in full force: Archie Nicasio, Director of Marketing Communications; Jaron Nepomuceno, Brand Management and Digital Design Manager; and Jolan Geyrozaga, Sheraton Manila Hotel Digital and Social Media Strategist. It was inspiring to see so many hospitality and media professionals come together in one room.

Now, here’s the fun part: the food. I honestly didn’t expect to be blown away during what I thought would be a routine media lunch. Manila Marriott is home to two Michelin-Selected restaurants, Cru Steakhouse and Man Ho, and the meals showcased the team’s dedication to flavor, presentation, and detail.

Among the many dishes, my personal favorite was the Chicken Mushroom. It’s a delicious surprise with a flakey texture and a flavorful tender filling, it’s the kind of dish that lingers in your memory long after the plate is empty. The spread also included everything from rain-shower oysters and premium steaks at Cru Steakhouse to authentic Cantonese specialties at Man Ho.

It was about slowing down, enjoying thoughtful hospitality, and savoring moments that make life feel a little more wonderful. Manila Marriott Hotel truly delivers on its promise to make every guest see, taste, and feel wonderful, and I can’t wait to go back, and next time, exploring more of their offerings at their Michelin restaurants.

For anyone planning a quick Manila escape, or even a longer stay, this hotel is ready to make 2026 a year full of wonderful experiences.
