Cebu Creators Circle’s Paws of Love Raises 756 Kilos of Dog Food for Rescues and Strays of Happy Tails PH
Central Park Cebu Business Park, Cebu City, Philippines — August 2025
Love was in the air — and in every bark, wag, and smile — as Cebu celebrated International Dog Day in the most heartfelt way possible. Paws of Love, the city’s first-ever community-led pet social responsibility event, turned Central Park, Cebu Business Park into a haven of compassion, music, and paw-shaking joy last August 22–23.
Organized by Cebu Creators Circle in partnership with Cebu Business Park, Ayala Property Management Corp., and the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Fisheries, the event wasn’t just a weekend fair. It was a movement — one that united pet lovers, creators, businesses, and families under a single mission: to help Cebu’s strays and rescues under the care of Happy Tails Philippines.
And the results? Nothing short of amazing. Together, the community raised a whopping 756 kilos of dog food — far surpassing the 700-kilo goal — proving once again that Cebu’s heart beats strongest when it’s for a cause.

A Weekend of Love, Music, and Giving Back
From day one, the park was buzzing with good vibes. Local talents like Baihaus filled the air with music, while creators and influencers transformed generosity into fashion at the Influencers’ Bazaar, where every pre-loved find supported the cause.
On August 23, the spotlight shifted to responsible pet ownership as hundreds lined up for free anti-rabies vaccinations, showing that caring for animals isn’t just about rescue — it’s also about prevention and education.
And of course, the heart of Paws of Love was the pet food donation drive. Families, friends, and fur parents came together, dropping off bag after bag of kibble, each kilo representing not just sustenance but also hope for Cebu’s rescues.
Voices of Gratitude
“Paws of Love proved that Cebu is full of compassion. Together, we didn’t just meet our target — we exceeded it, giving Happy Tails the food and hope they need to continue their mission,” shared Mary Catherine “Claire” Codilla, Cebu Creators Circle’s Director for Community.
For Andrew Doyzkie Buenaviaje, Founding President of Cebu Creators Circle, the event was a reminder of what happens when creativity meets purpose:
“The 756 kilos we raised are more than just food — they represent love, community, and a second chance for Cebu’s strays.”
Meanwhile, Hazel Aguisanda, Founding President of Happy Tails Philippines, reflected on the impact:
“Every kilo of food collected means full bellies and healthier dogs. Beyond that, it’s proof that our community stands with us in giving strays a second chance.”
More Than Just a Celebration
Paws of Love wasn’t simply an event — it was a milestone for Cebu’s animal welfare movement. It was proof that with compassion, creativity, and a united community, change can be both joyful and impactful.
And as the sun set on August 23, with dogs happily wagging and people sharing stories of kindness, one thing was clear: Cebu showed up for its strays — and gave them more than food. It gave them love.
